Changed behaviour in recurring tasks completed by rules

Since last week there have been some odd things going on with recurring tasks:

  • Some tasks marked complete (by an Asana rule after all subtasks have been completed) don’t get a new occurence, but the task occurrence seems to remain with the completed task, and a new occurence isn’t created:

In another instance/account:

At first i hoped this meant Enable Recurring Tasks to Trigger Rules was implemented. I have checked though, and I can’t reproduce this behaviour by manually completing tasks.

@ambforumleader @pforumleader Have you seen any change in recurring task behaviour?

@Forum-team could this be unintended consequences of the fix for Due times randomly assigned to recurring tasks ?

Hi @Jan-Rienk

Thank you for sharing this! I can’t say for certain at the moment whether it’s related or not. I’ll pass it along to the team and will update this thread if we have any news to share.

Cheers!

I haven’t really noticed any anomalies, but thanks for posting this; I’ll be on the lookout and will reply if anything crops up.
