Hello everyone - here’s your 2025 Q1 update!

In this installment, we’re noting raised limits for Bundles, filtering Assignees and People fields in projects whilst also discovering new limits in a Portfolio’s Workload tab, Universal Workload views and Capacity Plans, along with their saved view tabs.

Raised limits:

• 8.8. Limit of 100 people in Filter by Assignee in a project
  Raised from 5 to 100

• 8.9. Limit of 100 people in Filter by People-type field in a project
  Raised from 20 to 100

• 13.1. Limit of 15 bundles added to a single project
  Raised from 5 to 15

Newly added:

• 5.8. Limit of 50 tabs of saved views in a Portfolio
• 5.9. Limit of 200 people in a Portfolio’s Workload tab
• 6.3. Limit of 200 people in a Reporting>Workload view

• 6.5. Limit of 100 people to display average percent calculations in a Capacity plan
• 6.6. Limit of 100 projects to display total person calculations in a Capacity plan
• 6.7. Limit of 50 tabs of saved views in a Capacity plan
• 6.8. Limit of 50 tabs of saved views in a Reporting>Workload view

Update: May 1, 2025: See Upcoming updates to Asana Starter and Advanced Plans and Pricing and packaging changes in 2025

As a result of this announcement, the following limitations no longer apply since Asana rolled back all limitations on Starter and Advanced plans, regarding Rules actions, Portfolios, Users, AI actions and Integrations.

No longer limitations:

• 2.8. Limit of 250 Rule actions per month for ‘Starter’ plan (org-wide)
• 2.9. Limit of 25,000 Rule actions per month for ‘Advanced’ plan (org-wide)
• 5.6. Limit of 100 Portfolios for Advanced Plan (org-wide)
• 15.2. Limit of 500 users on the ‘Starter’ and ‘Advanced’ plans
• 16.1. Limit of 150 AI Actions per month for ‘Starter’ plan (org-wide)
• 16.2. Limit of 1,500 AI Actions per month for ‘Advanced’ plan (org-wide)

Revised notes:

• 17.1. Limited to Advanced or Legacy Business plans to use Tableau, Power BI, and Salesforce integrations.
  This announcement changes the limitation from exclusively to Enterprise tiers, instead, making these integrations available also on the Advanced plan (as per the legacy Business plan).

12.2 Limit of 100 subgoals connected to a Goa l’s automatic progress

I’m only in Q2 of 2025 and I’m at my 100 subgoal limit already. I had no idea about this limitation when we rolled out Goals in Q1. What is the workaround for this or can we request an increase in Subgoals for the Parent Goal? Any advice for the team knowing I have Q3 and Q4 Goals to account for as well?

Hi @Renee_WJ , perhaps a workaround could be to create 4 ‘main’ subgoals, one for each quarter, for example. Then you could split your 100 subgoals into four groups and move them under each of these 4 main subgoals, all rolling up to the parent goal.

I understand it’s a lot of moving but the workaround is to basically introduce intermediate ‘branches’ between your parent goal and your 100 subgoals, almost a way to group them in ‘sections’.
