I’ve seen many requests on this forum to manage groups of people and add them to a team/project/task at once.
For example: What is a good workaround for creating Sub-Teams?
The below steps are not still ideal, but it might be faster to manage people in plain text format in a text editor and copy-paste that into the field, especially if you are adding the same set of people to many teams/projects/tasks.
Team/Project invitation
Text format: Comma-separated email addresses
Examples:
shuns@work-graph.jp, shuns2@work-graph.jp
shuns@work-graph.jp,shuns2@work-graph.jp
Result:
Task collaborators*
(Add people by at-mentioning.)
Text format: List of profile URLs
Examples:
https://app.asana.com/0/profile/114452000570... https://app.asana.com/0/profile/1145068418403...
https://app.asana.com/0/profile/1144520005708..., https://app.asana.com/0/profile/1145068418403...
Result:
Not working here:
P.S.
- I hope the comma-separated emails will be supported in task collaborators field soon.
- I created a prototype stage of a Chrome extension Asana Batch to easily manage groups of people and bulk-add collaborators, but the projects has been half done for a long time.
- Previously we were able to at-mention users with their My Tasks URL (e.g.
https://app.asana.com/0/1144520005708.../list
) but it seems to have been replaced with the profile URL recently (Introducing User Profiles 🧍🏻).
