Suggestions of improvements of the Goal feature

I’m trying to start using Goals for the third time (in last few years :)), but I think there is still a lot of room for improvement. The Goals feature is very different from the rest of Asana and the feedback is primarily based on features that normally work in Asana but not in Goals.

  1. Asana plugin (app) in Microsoft Teams currently doesnt recognize Goal URLs (other Asana links yes as usual)

  2. When you want to duplicate goal, you can duplicate almost everything - except sub-goals :see_no_evil:

  3. In Team goals overview there should be column with “Members / Collaborators” and maybe a few more - or better kind of custom fields feature as in portfolios, projects, etc.
    Especially in goals it’s slightly more tricky who receive a notification into the Inbox. Members of the goal are usualy based on the accountable team, which is super complicated if “your team” = department of 200 people :slight_smile:

  4. I’m heavily missing kind of feature “Add to goals” in context menu of portfolios, projects, tasks, etc. :slight_smile: Not a big deal, but if you want to add something to Goals you always need to jump into the goal and then search for the related work.

Happy Asaning! :slight_smile:

@Jan_Rajdl,

These are great suggestions, but would you be willing to create each one as a separate topic in Product Feedback (after searching that category to make sure one doesn’t already exist to which you could add your vote)?

The policy is one request per topic so it’s easier to track interest, indicate progress, workarounds, etc.

Thanks,

Larry

Hewre we go:

  1. Goals bug / suggestion - Asana add-ons doesn't recognize goals link
  2. Duplicating Goals and Sub-Goals
  3. Custom fields in Goals overview page
  4. "Add to Goals" feature in projects & tasks

Thank you for voting up! :slight_smile:
