Rules on Tasks vs. ALL Subtasks

Can a rule be added based on when some or one subtask is completed? Right now, I can only choose between “Task or All Subtasks.” I want a rule where if only some subtasks are completed and the task is moved to the completed stage, it returns to being in progress. I have the same issue with sending emails based on one subtask being completed. I can only choose a task or all subtasks.

For your use case, Asana would need to know which subtask over another subtask using a certain condition - based on that condition your rule could then run.

Such a condition could be a single-select custom field set as a value on the subtask level.
