Restore ability to delete items in activity log

Seeing as I created this Feedback/Request back in March, I feel I should now come back to add that in a particular Team I am now working in, I LIKE that I know nothing is being deleted from the Activity Log. In that sense, I can trust the Activity Log and know absolutely who has done what.

However, what I don’t like is:

  1. Being unable to TOGGLE the ability to delete items in an activity log (either on a Workspace level, or a Team level, or a Project level). At the same time as I like it in THIS Team, I don’t want this in my Personal workspace where I develop templates, or other workspaces that I don’t need this level of auditing. Another solution could be allowing certain levels of users, e.g. the Project Admin, to delete activity log items within that Project.

  2. That marking a task complete, and then almost immediately marking it incomplete, logs this as two separate items. On the other hand, adding a tag, and then removing it soon after, deletes that item from the log. It would be much cleaner if the same could happen for task completion, acknowledging that miss-clicks do happen and are usually corrected immediately.

I’ll create this second point as a separate feedback item: Marking a task complete and then immediately incomplete should remove these two items from the Activity Log (although the principle is that this is only really coming up as an issue because you cannot delete items from the activity log).
