Portfolio feedback

Some feedback from our team as we’ve started dabbling with the new portfolios feature:

  • Could estimated hours/minutes please auto tally at a section and project level please? It’s VERY manual having to add these all up with a calculator
  • Could the tallied estimated hours for the project also be an optional field to view at the portfolio level to give managers a birds eye view across projects? Bonus extra would if there was a total estimated hours for the full portfolio.
  • We’d love to be able to add section headings to the portfolio view to organise the landscape more clearly.
  • Ability to multi-select project in the portfolio list to click and drag the order around
  • More compact view option in portfolio to be able to see more projects on a page for a true birds-eye view when there are more than 5 projects on a list rather than scrolling and scrolling.
  • Timeline view at a portfolio view for a birds-eye view of projects across the portfolio - this would be amazing
  • Possibly some kind of flag or colour change for projects which have tasks scheduled within them that exceed the set end date of the project itself?
  • Better (any) reporting features. The portfolio view itself isn’t a report. Would love to be able to see things like over due, tasks completed on time, tasks completed late, total remaining estimated hours (for outstanding tasks) etc. Nice and customisable at a project and portfolio level. Anyone know any apps that integrate with Asana that help with reporting?

Hi @Alana_Thomas! Thank you so much for providing us with your feedback!

We generally don’t recommend using one thread to request for multiple ideas or feedback at once since it makes it ver hard for other users to upvote it and for us to to keep track on feedback and votes.

We already have a few threads requesting some of the same ideas you have shared with us here:

Would you mind creating new threads for each one of the ideas you would like to see implemented? I would also suggest to add your vote to the threads you create and to the ones I have shared with you here.

Thank you very much @Alana_Thomas! Have a great Thursday!
