I’m delighted to announce that you can now sort your Board projects by Due Date, Assignee, Likes but also by Alphabetical order and by Custom Fields!
You learn more about this new feature and see some screenshot, have a look at this article from our Guide! As always, if you have any questions or feedback, feel free to comment below!
That is so an improvement of the board view, and help us selecting a board view as project even when we do have many tasks in each column. Thank you Guys! @Sebastien_Levesque
I must admit, however, that I was very disappointed to see that this was sorting and not filtering. For me, the real value would come with detailed filtering options on board view, not sorting. I don’t think I would ever use sorting, to be quite honest.
Is being able to filter cards on a board view something that we could see sometime soon, too?
Thanks for your feedback @Collin_Vine, totally understand where you’re coming from. We’re working on implementing filters into Board too; I’m hoping to have some good news to share soon!
Now if only Boards were a different view like most all other systems… Come on guys – focus on what’s important to your users – boards should just be another way of viewing projects and tasks. Get it done already!
Hi @Jack_Hincksman, we’re working on it and should be able to launch soon! Keep an eye on the #community-forum-announcements category, I’m hoping to have an update soon!
Feature Request: Sort Column tasks by due date in descending order or reverse sorting.
Problem: Imported using Unito an editorial Trello board with 400+ tasks(cards) in 4 columns where each task(card) is a blog post. A task is moved to Published column after a blog post. This board transfer from Trello to Asana resulted in shuffling of cards. So using ‘Sort:Due date’ option I can see tasks in ascending order, i.e. the first blog post task(card) done in 2017, I would like to see the latest post on top, instead of last.
Is there a way or hack to do reverse sorting? Since this feature seems to be missing in product as of now.
