As a Forum leader, I had the chance to test Asana’s latest Asana Intelligence feature.
And today I’m excited to announce Smart status for portfolios and goals!

Keeping cross-functional teams and stakeholders in the loop requires frequent status updates which can feel manual and time-consuming. Following the launch Ai-powered smart digest for projects a month ago, we’re bringing Smart status to portfolios and goals, allowing you to create comprehensive status updates faster and leveraging real-time work data to identify risks, open questions, and roadblocks standing in the way of hitting goals.

Smart status for portfolios

To create a status update with Asana Intelligence for portfolios, click Set status and select Draft update with AI.

You can then choose the projects from the portfolio that you want to focus on for the status update and click + Add guidance to add further instructions.

Once your update is generated, you have an option to edit. You can add or remove sections and drag and drop elements in the “Highlights” section to illustrate your status update


Smart status for goals

To create a status update with Asana Intelligence for goals, navigate to the goal’s details page, click the three dot icon, and click Draft update with AI.

You can then choose the sub-goals, portfolios, and projects that you want to focus on for the status update and click + Add guidance to add further instructions.

Asana will gradually be rolling out this update, and it will be available on Asana Advanced , Enterprise , and Enterprise+ tiers. Information on usage can be found here .

When attempting to utilize this feature I am given a message to upgrade my plan to Business/Advanced despite already being on that plan

Hello @Ewen_MacKillop :wave: From what I’m seeing on my end, you’re on a legacy Business plan. These new features (like many of our AI features) are only available with our new pricing plans. I’d suggest taking a look at Upcoming Updates to Asana's Product Tiers for more information about our new pricing plans.
