I need an automation that sends a Slack message to a particular channel each time a project is marked as “completed” from the status update field. I notice “status updates” is not one of the triggers for rules. Does anyone have any ideas on a good workaround?

@Celeste_Keeton - definitely see the helpfulness of this idea!
Right now, rules are only available at the task and subtask level.
Asana rules at the portfolio level (rules on projects) will likely come at some point, hopefully soon.
Until then, if this is mission critical for you, this can be automated via custom automation with Zapier or Make.com. My team builds these. You can give it a shot or let us know if you’d like us to build it for you.
But, if you can wait for when/if Asana releases project/portfolio rules, that’ll be the cheaper route.
