I want assignees to be able to toggle fixed due dates for each task.

Milestones are similar, but they are a little simpler.
“If you move the task at a later date, the milestones you depend on will move automatically.”
(When “Avoid dependency conflict” is turned on in the project settings)
By default, “Milestone” should be set so that it does not move automatically.
I understand that it is a “milestone” because it cannot be moved easily.
(Assuming that it can’t be helped to move it manually)

Example of usage: In My Tasks, my friend’s birthday is a milestone. I want to fix the due date of the task to reserve a restaurant for the birthday party two weeks in advance so that it doesn’t get changed accidentally.

Hi, I’ve seen this topic come up in Tips and Tricks but not in the product feedback forum so I’m bringing it here, please combine with another thread if it already exists.
It would be great to be able to assign a task and lock a due date. This is essential for hard deadlines (ie filing deadlines with courts or the US Patent and Trademark Office) which absolutely cannot be adjusted.
