Does anyone happen to know another project management software with this feature?

Most of them are compatible except for Asana, that would be the answer.

This is so important for your company. May we know when it will be added to Asana? My team keeps changing the dates which leads to further confusion.

I agree with majority of commenters here. We need the feature to be able to lock due dates. It doesn’t make sense to have due dates if assignees can change them willy nilly.

Same here - we need to be able to lock due dates for certain tasks that cannot be moved.

4 years since the original post, and this is still needed. Task assigner should be able to choose to lock the due date. Some things are flexible, some are not. If an assignee can change dates at will, then deadlines are meaningless or must be managed elsewhere.

I’ll probably need to move to a new piece of software if this function isn’t provided soon!!!

I would like to see this as well. Its pointless if someone else can change a due date and not even see and audit history of it.

Yes! I’d also love to be able to do things like: lock due dates on Milestone tasks as a project setting.
