iOS missing custom fields in Projects, Sorting by custom fields in Portfolio view

We are a ‘job shop’. Until last year we did not use Portfolios as too much functionality was missing that we needed. That seems to have been addressed for the most part (Web interface, thank you!), however the iOS app is severely lacking in a couple of key areas.

All of our Jobs live as projects and we have high level visibility at the Portfolio level. In the Portfolio we have custom fields that populate to all the projects in that portfolio. For us that is predominately project ‘stages’ through our process steps, various client and other outside contacts that are part of the project. On the web app on a pc these can all be seen both in the portfolio view (horizontal scrolling) or by going into the project and to the ‘Edit Project Details’ area where it is a nice neat vertical organization (this is the preferred access for client details to get phone numbers and such to call).

On Android mobile this can be seen on the Edit Project Details just like the Web interface. On the iOS mobile app none of these custom fields are visible via this way. Only a truncated part can be seen from the Portfolio view (Which cannot be grouped and sorted like the web and is terribly frustrating as well!)

Both are a struggle but the first topic of not seeing client contact info in the custom fields makes using Asana on iOS a non-starter.

Help please, especially the first one!

Hi @Jay_Miller ,

Functionality that is in available on Android but not iOS or vice versa may be a bug. Support will be able to determine the difference. See: How to contact our Support Team ✉

Should these not be bugs, and you’d like to suggest changing these I’d advise searching for a feedback thread for each and adding your vote and voice, or creating a new thread for each in Android & iOS - Feedback . See also 📚 How to share your product feedback

Good luck!
