Force "Due Dates" and "Rules" to Follow "Project Schedule"

There is a new feature that was added under Customization/Settings called Project Schedule, where you set the working times for a project. This is nice but it seems that it doesn’t do much currently.

I propose that Due Dates, Relative Due Dates, and Rules should cooperate to only land themselves within the set operation times in the Project Schedule. Right now we have a lot of relative due dates landing on weekends and days off, which is really messing things up at scale with hundreds of active tasks.

Please make this relatively simple change, as my company is fatigued from having to manually adjust due dates that do not follow the schedule we have provided for the project. Thank you.

Yes! This is much needed and was my expectation of this new feature. It basically seems to only affect charts in Dashboards, in particular ‘time spent in a custom field value’.

It would be great to push due dates triggered by rules to avoid weekends. Perhaps it’s coming soon!

I think weekends is even too broad-- it would be simple for it to follow the Project Schedule because some operations may work on weekends. Please share this far and wide for a vote-- we really need it as we rely heavily on rules.
