What is the point of this setting?

It doesn’t change anything as far as I can tell. Relative due dates in rules still land due dates on weekends. People have been requesting custom work schedules for at least 5 years on this forum.

Please help me understand what the point of this setting is and how to set rules not to land due dates that are not on that schedule. Thanks.

Larry, thanks for the link. This does not seem to alter the behavior of relative due dates with rules. This is critical for us and it seems to be a simple oversight not to incorporate this feature into the automation rules.

Perhaps, but sometimes it’s more complicated, for example it might actually involve another dev team.

I recommend you create a new topic in Product Feedback for this specific request and vote for it after you create it.
