Why cannot it not pick the relative date from the current project? If the current project is due 11/01 and the task is due 10 days prior to the project due date, why is not picking up that date?
Hi @Stephanie0301 , it’s not clear from you post what you have tried and what you are trying to achieve but such issues usually arise from business days and weekends having an affect. Did you try clicking on the ‘Skip weekends’ checkmark before applying the new scheduling method to Before or After?
For what it’s worth, each time you change the scheduling method (due date rule) to either After the project’s start date or Before the project’s due date, Asana will reset all relative dates between the earliest task and the latest task within the project template.
I have a project that I want to make a template from. It automatically sets the dates to after and when I change it to before it messes them all up. I cannot figure out the reasoning behind any of the dates it automatically chooses in the template as it does not align with the project it was created from.
When I changed the template dates to “skip weekends” it added way too many days. Would be nice to be given the option to skip weekends before it calculates the days.
