Duration Field in List view

Good morning everyone,
I’d love to have the duration field available in the list view so that the deadline of an activity can be automatically determined simply by setting the start date and its duration.
However, this field currently appears only in the Gantt view and not in the list view.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this something that will be addressed in the next release?

Auto calculate due date with duration & dependencies

Add Duration to task
