Change order of sections in list view but not board view

Is there a way to change the order of the sections in the list view but not in the board view?

I’m using one Asana project for backlog management after coming from using Jira. My team’s finding it hard to change from the list view that goes:

  1. Doing
  2. Prioritized
  3. Backlog

Currently to make the board look correct, the sections in the list view have to go in this order:

  1. Backlog
  2. Prioritized
  3. Doing

Overall the experience makes it hard for prioritizing stories since the top of the backlog is far from the top of the prioritized section. Also when we open our asana project we want to see in the list view the first order.

Any ideas?

Also we’re on the business plan of Asana

This is currently not possible, the order is kept between views.

Thanks for the quick response! Is there an alternative way of managing this I’m missing? If there’s an asana article I’m missing appreciate any links.

I think my suggestion here may work for you (since you’re on the Business plan you can write rules to sync a single-select custom field (with option values in order Doing, Prioritized, Backlog) and sections/columns:

until/if Asana implements the feature more directly as with the request @Andrea_Mayer included in here post here.
