Cannot link email

My business email is the only email associated with my organization. I’m trying to send tasks from my business email to my account and I keep on getting a notice that " We couldn’t process your email because it was sent from a server that is not authorized to send emails for cfosecrets.com. Please contact your email admin to update your domain’s email settings." I am the only person my company and the only person in my asana account. Any suggestions before I throw in the towel and ditch Asana for excel? :grimacing: If I can’t forward tasks, there’s no point to using yet another online tool.

Hi @Gila_Halleli, thanks for reaching out!

It looks like you’ve run into an error because our system is unable to verify that the email we received came from you. It seems the mail server that sent your email is not properly configured for your domain; it must be configured so that the domain of the envelope address matches the domain of the from address.

In order to resolve this, you need to configure your mail server. As a note, you may also need to update the domain settings in order to give this server permission to send emails on behalf of your domain. If you have more questions we’ll be happy to assist you further; please simply reach out to our Support Team directly with the following information:

  • The URL of this thread
  • The method being used to submit tasks to Asana (G Suite alias, Google Form, JotForm, etc.)

I hope this helps!

It’s Gmail. You should be able to ID Gmail. Apparently, the only way to do that is to slow down my email, my browser and my computer in general with yet another add-on which (according to the reviews) doesn’t work well, doesn’t save time, and doesn’t actually pull information from Asana (e.g. for classifiying).
