I’ve got a rule set-up in my recurring tasks (a daily recurring task with several subtasks) that completes the main task once I’ve completed all subtasks.
Sometimes I forget though that this rule is in effect, and I mark the task complete before the rule has had a chance to kick in.
This means the rule is completing it twice the task is being completed by the rule after I’ve manually completed it, and I end up with two new instances of the recurring task.
I don’t think it should be technically possible to complete a task more than once.
I understand it’s getting completed twice, but is that because “the rule is completing it twice,” or is the rule completing it once and you’re manually completing it once.
I’m not sure why @Jeremy_Long’s rule would prevent the above, but I can’t argue with success!
@lpb You are right, it’s not the rule completing it twice, rather the rule completes it after I’ve manually completed it. Corrected my post.
@Jeremy_Long Although it makes no sense to me why your solution should work (it shouldn’t) it does work.
I’m moving this to feedback as I still think this is something that should be addressed by Asana, but it allows me to mark your post as the solution without closing the topic.
