We have a RD dept, which are divided up in smaller groups. One of these groups consist of 6 people and when I want to setup a quick filter, which shows these 6 persons, I can only chose 5 people.
Is there a way, where I can add an extra person to this group/filter?
Indeed that seems to be a limitation.
@Richard_Sather
Did you have this one? (5 users in the filter āAssigneeā)
Thanks @Arthur_BEGOU , Iāll add it to the list
Hi again.
Any news on this topic?
Will there be a solution to add more than 5 persons or do anyone have a work-around to show the tasks for more than 5 persons?
Thanks
Christian
Hi @Christian_Colstrup , you could create a āsisterā project and multihome all tasks, that are assigned to certain people, to that project. You can also setup a rule to do that automatically for you, too.
@Richard_Sather . Thanks for your suggestion and thatās what I have almost have done.
I have made a new Tab, where I have added the remaining persons, that could not fit into the original Tab.
But this is only temporary, as Iām running out of numbers of tabs, where I now have reached the max. and cannot add any more.
Hi @Christian_Colstrup , indeed that is another workaround but i thought you would have preferred all people in one list.
Regarding view tabs - you can have a max of 12, but you can certainly remove any tabs you donāt use such as Workflow, Messages, Files etc. to make space for an extra List view, for example.
I see this limitation was added to your list - Is there a chance this will change in the future or be proposed to change?
I have entire departments that can benefit from seeing a shared view with the quick filter to refine visible tasks to assignees from that department.
I have the same limitation as well. Hereās what I did to resolve it
- Create a custom field with single select called RD
- Create a rule if any of these 6 people are in the assignee change the custom field to RD
- In asana views create a new view and filter everything where custom field = RD
