Visibility of all Recurring tasks

I cannot believe that, eight years later, this still isn’t available. We just signed up this week, and not being able to click through our monthly calendars to see a complete schedule of tasks and projects is extremely frustrating. For teams that rely on a full overview, this limitation makes planning and coordination difficult. I hope Asana can prioritise this feature soon, as it’s a significant gap for new and existing users alike.

Really ridiculous this still hasn’t been added. Why even keep this thread running. My calendar can do this, why can’t my literal project management software?

It’s kept open because to consolidate feedback, permit voting, and recently was marked “considered” so it’s still active and may be added, at which point this thread will be updated so people can learn about that.

I would literally pay for a third-party to just build an add on for this

I understand the frustration on this! But as some of our Forum Leaders can attest to, I’m determined to close gaps like this, so I appreciate your patience. After we complete our ongoing subtask work, this is a gap I’ve made sure to highlight to our new leadership :saluting_face:

As we’re on the topic of recurring tasks, I’d flag these requests as related:

I feel these are commonly used options to have tasks go in sync with meetings and processes, are often available in calendar event options, but we currently can’t set them in Asana.

Still advocating for this and ensuring our leaders are aware of this gap (including multiple times in the last week). But we’re still very focused on a complete subtasks overhaul. Which is the second most voted request in the Forum and has been open for way too long. These requests are all in my short list though, so I’ll be working to either make sure we find capacity or realign internal AoRs to make this happen. Thank you all for your patience! :folded_hands:

Is there any update on this? I would really prefer to see all of my tasks every day they will be due on the calendar view. It would make organizing my work flow throughout the week and month so much easier.

Agree! We almost made the transition as we love so many features, but this is a requirement for us. We had a great call with David from Asana who demonstrated a few possible work-arounds with the AI integration and some custom work, or an API workflow, but still not native to the task button. Once this is native we will consider- but we need recurring tasks to be viewable!
