Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
The record option on Task comment boxes and Descriptions has disappeared overnight. Staff at my organisation had been using this to screen record short process video’s with a Vimeo log in.
Steps to reproduce:
Open a task - click on comment box or description box. Record button no longer appears.
What version of Asana are you using (Basic/Premium/Business/Enterprise)?

Hi @Natasha_Mills, sorry to hear that! It sounds like the integration has been disabled for your organization. If that’s the case, organization admins can enable it again via the admin console:
- Navigate to the Admin Console in your Asana Profile
- Click on Security
- Scroll down to Recorded Video Permissions and check if Recorded Video disabled is toggled off
Thanks for your reply. Our admin checked and video recording permissions are still on.
It still works in a Chrome browser - it’s dropped off Edge for some reason but we will use Chrome for now
Thanks for confirming, @Natasha_Mills!
I can report the same issue.
Just noticed it now.
@Vanessa_N can you confirm if this is a bug that will be addressed?
Hi @Liohn_Sherer, sorry to hear that you are also running into this issue. It looks like our team has received a few more reports, so our Developers are currently investigating this. As soon as we have any updates we will share here in the Forum.
Hi everyone, our Developers let me know that this should be fixed now! I’d recommend refreshing your browser and clearing cache and cookies just in case. Let me know if you’re still unable to use the integration in Edge.
hi, it’s reproducible for me, cleared all data and relogged in → no record button. there’s also no “Add to project” button when trying to add Vimeo app.
Hi @anon46898081, sorry to hear that the issue persists for you. Can you confirm if you have the latest version of Edge?
hi @Vanessa_N, in my case it was Chrome, but also of latest version.
Hi @anon46898081, thanks for confirming. This specific bug was only impacting Edge, but we haven’t confirmed any bugs in Chrome. I can’t seem to replicate it on Chrome on my end either, so I’m wondering if there might be any extension causing issues. Can you test it in an incognito window and also in a different browser just to confirm if it’s an issue with Chrome?
@Vanessa_N this was fresh Chrome installation and there are no extensions at all
