Unable to Onboard. Invited colleague unable to receive Invite Email

My colleague did not have her ASANA account enabled before she attempted to email tasks to a project.

I think due to the number of rejected emails - she may have been blacklisted and now I am unable to onboard her. We can not change her email because this email is used by our existing clients.

Please with placing her email on the white list again.

Welcome to the Forum @FONG_FATT_CHEE and thank you for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue with your colleague.

If you have a Workspace, I would first recommend you to cancel the invitation you have sent to your colleague by following this steps:

  1. Click your profile photo and select [Workspace’s name] Settings from the dropdown menu
  2. Navigate to the Members tab
  3. Hover over your colleague’s name and click Cancel Invite

After that, you could try to invite your colleague again.

If this issue persists, I would recommend you to contact our Support Team and provide them with the following information?

  1. URL of this thread to provide them with context and to avoid having to re-explain everything
  2. Your colleague’s email address

Unfortunately, this information can’t be shared in the Forum, which is why I’m not able to help you further; please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with!

Hello,

I am contacting you to inquire about the reason why our Asana workspace is not able to add members anymore as it used to . We have a free plan and have been using Asana for some time now, and we are pretty satisfied with it. We are currently at 11 members invited to the space and therefore we haven’t exceeded the number of members foreseen in the free plan.

The message we receive whenever we want to add a new member is the following:

‘‘Some invitations may be pending approval by a team admin.’’

The person we would like to add is not receiving any notifications to be added to the space as before. We invite them through their Gmail accounts.

Could you please assist on this matter?

Welcome to the Asana community forum @Marlene_Dattoli

It seems you have some permission settings in your team.
Have a look here.
Can you check who the team admin is as they seem to have approve new invites.

Recently for projects the new role “editor” was introduced as well.

Thank you for your answer, I would like to specify that we are not part of the University of malta, we are part of the NGO the Malta Chamber of Scientists.

moreover, we do not know who the team admin has the right to approve new invites as we never had this issue before because our members were able to receive our invites directly. Where can we find out who is the team admin? We never touched the permission settings; maybe it has been updated? we do not know to which level the invitations go to contact the person and get this sorted.

thank you for your support

Kindly let me know please @Andrea_Mayer

Many thanks,

Marlene

Can you try to access the relevant Asana team page, there you will see the list of members with permissions.

Could have various reasons such as for example the billing owner updating the settings maybe.

Now in case you cannot find out via the team page then I recommend reaching out to Asana support directly as they would be able to check your account directly.

we usually invite members as per attachment

Could you please let me know where I can access the relevant Asana team page to see the list of members with permissions? (a screenshots would be helpful)

Hey @Marlene_Dattoli, have a look here.
You should see all your teams on the left hand side.

as you can see Andrea, we don’t have a team admin. Could you please let me know where those pending invitations are? so that I can invite the members I need .t This has been going on for some time and we are stuck and it is a drawback for us now as I need to keep the workload on hold because I can’t assign tasks accordingly.

Many thanks for your support

Hey @Marlene_Dattoli sorry for the delayed response. Somehow I did not receive a notification about your message.
It seems your screenshot shows the admin panel?
Can you just open an Asana team directly and go to the settings there?
