Hi Richard, et al. Do you or others know whether this functionality is available yet to enterprise+ accounts yet? This functionality will make it far cleaner to provide leadership a birds-eye view at the master portfolio level.
I’ve tried a suggested workaround of creating a single portfolio containing all projects, grouped by strategic goal, however it’s inelegant and doesn’t meet the objective.

As Richard mentioned, it’s in-development , which mean’s it’s likely coming soon.
Easiest way to track this is to vote for the topic if you havent, as your vote will be returned to you when the feature is launched.

It’s encouraging to hear that rollups and timeline views for nested portfolios are in development. As our team is announcing a Phase 2 rollout of Asana introducing Portfolios and Goals, and we’re deciding whether to structure work with master/sub-portfolios or continue using the single-master-portfolio workaround, could you or Asana Product Development possibly share even a rough timeframe for when these enhancements might be released? That would help staff plan our portfolio structure and avoid reworking it later.

Hi @Tetsuo_Kawakami, thank you for pointing that out! It looks like this was not marked as Launched, but it was actually implemented during the later stages of our Portfolio Improvements in 2025. That final phase included adding the portfolio right pane when you click on a line item and enabling the timeline view for portfolios with nested portfolios (previously greyed out).
