When using a custom date field in Portfolio List view, users can see the time portion of the field if the date listed is today or tomorrow. However, beyond that, only the day of the week will read for this week and the date beyond this week. We require visibility on the due time for each project. The Due Date field does not allow for a due time in Portfolio view. Is it possible to force this data to be visibe? Otherwise, this is a request for the time to at least be a toggle-selectable function in the field drop-down menu.
Hi @Joshua_Gist ,
That might be a bug. Best thing to do is to contact support
Adding clear screenshots and steps to reproduce helps.
If Asana support doesn’t consider this a bug then please circle back on this thread and tag me, then I’ll move it to Product Feedback so that people can vote for it.
This is the typical behavior for date and Due date fields; they show time around the present, and hide that (as “clutter,” for better or worse) further away from the present.
I moved to Product Feedback and voted at the top, as you can now.
I don’t think it’s necessary to contact support.
Thanks,
Larry
Thanks! The primary reason this was confusing is that the same field used in a Project will display future date and time persistently. Only when using that field in a Portfolio is the time hidden until the date reaches today/tomorrow.
Thanks for the clarification. This is very likely intentional, but I agree it would be nicer if it was configurable.
