Is there a way to add a range/window timeline as a field in the portfolio list?
Basically, I want a field that says March x - June y as a column in the list view for project oversight.

Hi @Kian_Javier1 , welcome to the forum ![]()
You should see a Due date column in the Portfolio’s List view. That also includes a Start date if you click into it.
From the Options button in the top right area, you can Show/hide more fields/columns like Duration and Time remaining.
Once your dates are populated, you can also switch to the Portfolio’s Timeline view to view bars of each project’s duration over time, where you can also adjust them.
Hey @Richard_Sather thanks!
Unfortunately, none of those seem to work for me. See below:
I don’t see a Due Date option in the List dropdown. It’s not even in the full library.
The duration/time remaining options are no quite what I am looking for but a date 1-date 2 view.
@Kian_Javier1 - just to clarify a little bit more, this is not a field that has to be added; it’s already in there. You just need to go to the “Customize (or might say Workflow)” in the top right > Fields > and toggle the field on
And as of right now the start and due date for a project need to be manually input. Might sync with task dates in the project in the future. If you have “script actions” or zapier, you can automatically sync the start and due dates for the project in the meantime.
Hey @Bryan_TeamKickstart , the toggles you remember in the Customize/Workflow menu have been moved to the Options>Show/hide columns like I mentioned above. Unless you are seeing something different? ![]()
@Kian_Javier1 , did you find it like I described, from the Options button?
@Richard_Sather - you’re exactly right. What’s funny is I read your response and my brain flagged it and said, “No that’s how it used to be but now it’s in the customize menu.”
My brain occasionally does some time travel and swaps the past for the present and other fun tricks when I’m tired.
Thanks for rescuing my incorrect correction here.
Thanks both! This works for now. Cheers.
So I tried the due date field. But for some projects, the due date is not clickable at all. When you hover over it, it just is grey with the arrow cursor instead of being prompted to add the dates as you see in the above screenshot.
Do you have any idea why this might be? It seems like the ones that are unclickable are the ones whose project progress are on the high % but I’m not sure that that makes sense or why it will be a barrier.
Nvm - I think I figured it out. It doesn’t let me if I’m not a project admin. Thanks!
