They used to convert to subtasks and only be viewable inside of the task i converted it to as subtask. Now they are remaining as tasks while also being a subtask. This is really hindering my workflow and causing confusion when i return to a project.
In your case those subtasks are also multi homed into the project. Not sure how you ended up in that situation but there is no bug here, you can indeed create that situation. Do you remember what you did?
I am fairly new to Asana (one year user) and i have no idea what i did to end up in this situation. Normal behavior if i want to move a task to a subtask, is that i select the Ellipsis and convert to subtask, then it moves into the task i select and off the task section.
Open the subtask in the right-side task detail pane. Beside “Projects” there you should see the parent task’s project name. Hover over that and click the “x” to remove that association.
