Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing: When a person marks a task as completed, whether a one-off or recurring task, it reappears after a few days as incomplete and overdue. It is happening across the team.

Browser version: Using the desktop app but other people use the browser and I am not sure of what their version is

This usually happens when the task is recurring, or most likely in your case the parent task is recurring so every time the parent gets recreated, the subtasks are re-created as well.

Unfortunately this happens even with one-off tasks. Also, even if the tasks are recurring, if someone marks it as complete, we still get the tasks coming back as far back as a month or two.
I seriously doubt it. I am 99% sure this is related to some recurrence happening somewhere. Can you share the screenshot of a task you don’t understand why they are here?

I’ve already resolved my asanas and will update once this happens again.
Nonetheless, does it make sense for asana to recreate already resolved tasks, even if they are recurring? It should create new tasks with dates in the future, no?
Are you referring to subtasks being completed or not changing dates?
I’m referring to both subtasks which are marked as complete and reappear after a few days as incomplete (can be one recurring task that appears incomplete as far back as a month or two) and one-off tasks that also reappear and are marked as incomplete and appear overdue.
For recurring tasks, see screenshot shared. All those recurring tasks were marked as completed on the date stated, but appeared today.

The issue that @Mace is describing is happening to me too. For awhile I thought I was losing my mind. They are not recurring tasks; they’re not associated with a recurring task.
@Rebecca_McGrath and @Nao_Kumazaki, I’ve noticed a few reports from different forum members recently; is there a known issue affecting some?
