This issue has been discussed 3 times already but none of those helped me. So here it is
I converted Task to a subtask of the parent and the subtask still shows up on the main list.
One suggestion asked me to select all subtasks from list - > This option is not even available to me
When i say filter → Add filter → task type → no subtasks exists. So i am not even sure how to filter all substasks
Second I went in to subtasks and trying to remove it from project, but it says it can be done only from parent. I go in to the parent and there is no way to remove it from project.
I am new to Asana, after having worked in multiple different tools and its been a frustrating experience.
If you’ve converted a parent task into a subtask housed underneath a different parent task, you should be able to go into that newly converted subtask and click the “x” to the right of the project it’s in, this will remove it from being listed in the project as a task but keep it visible in the subtask expanded view under its new parent task. See screenshot below.
Ah I see, so that message means that subtask was already removed from the parent task’s project and basically just indicating to you that although this subtask is no longer part of the parent task’s project, it still belongs to the parent task which is in that project. You can test this by clicking the plus symbol to the right of the “Projects” text in your subtask and adding it back to the project. After doing this, you’ll see the subtask appear in the project list view as if it were a parent task, as well as under it’s parent task when everything is expanded.
