support newline is new subtask pasting in project templates

One of those paper-cuts that had me re-start my 21 day no-complaint challenge.

@Jan-Rienk I don’t love this :see_no_evil_monkey: . @Olha_Vintonik flagging for future Task Pane x Subtask work.

the same happens when you try to paste as tasks into the list view of project templates.. (whereas in projects it pastes them as multiple tasks) :man_facepalming:
It’s been like this for some time.. glad you raised it, @Jan-Rienk!

@Richard_Sather - First time I’ve seen that consistency tag. Definitely going to start using that haha.

@Phil_Seeman pretty sure I burnt a cheeseburger worth of calories out right cackling at that image :rofl: . If you all don’t have complaints, how will I maintain my burgeoning reputation of being the PM with an escalating three point scale of all the things he’s willing to die on :joy:?

@Jan-Rienk I love that you created the consistency tag! It’s perfect for an initiative I’ve been working on with UXR that ironically has been me flagging Forum posts for product usability investments :raising_hands:

Hi all, just wanted to chime in here to thank you for the feedback you’ve been sharing recently in the Forum regarding the consistency of features across projects, project templates, and My Tasks.

We hear you loud and clear: you want a seamless experience where the features you rely on behave predictably, regardless of where you are in the product.

Your insights are directly informing our current roadmap and we are also focusing on quality of life improvements, those changes that remove daily friction. See recap for Q4 here: Q4 Quality-of-Life Improvements for our Customers

While we can’t promise that every specific update will launch in the immediate future, your requests are firmly on our radar as we continue to iterate. In transparency, we’re always working to strike the right balance between our broader business roadmap and the vital feedback we receive from you. Our goal is to ensure the product remains stable and scalable while still being the intuitive tool you deserve.

@Jan-Rienk we have some great updates and consistency wins in the pipeline that we think are worth celebrating. Hopefully, this news helps you reconsider the restart! :slight_smile:

Thanks @Garrett_Knoll, I had a feeling it would come in handy. :slight_smile:

That’s great @Emily_Roman!

Oh, this is a personal challenge. I saw what happened and exclaimed in the sense of “what the :duck:?”, so I failed my challenge. This means the timer was re-set to 0 days complaint free. The challenge is unrelated to Asana, and generally my exclamations with regards to Asana are those of exitement rather than frustration. :wink:

I did feel it painted the picture though, and that’s why I included it. (Although I’d likely have used a milder tone if I hadn’t posted it in the moment. :sweat_smile:)
