Suggestion - display daily actual time logged per task

I use the built-in “Actual time” tracking in Asana, which currently sums up all logged hours across multiple days for each task in the list view.

However, I need a way to see only the actual time logged for tasks on the current day, ideally within a custom field to put it directly in the task list view. This would allow my team to easily monitor and manage daily logged hours without manual calculations or external reporting.

Is there a built-in feature or workaround that allows us to display daily actual time logged per task?

Any suggestions or alternative solutions to achieve this would be appreciated.

Accualy I would like to propose to prepare function or embeded field which would make it possible.

As it is possible to make this kind of chart - I suppose that it would be easy to proceed.

Hello @Maciej_Drobina - I built out a chart that displays the actual time, all you would need to do is update the filter for the specific day you are looking at. Let me know if this would help.

Hello @Alex_Christensen -I’m aware of the chart. However, there is no way to generate a list of tasks with time logged for a certain day. The problem occurs with tasks that have more than two dates of Actual Time. For example - look at this chart: on May 22nd I logged 7.6 hours.

But when I click to see more details, the sum for Actual Time is higher because some tasks have been logged on more than one day.

In other words:
I need a list of items which generate this chart for ceratin day but showing Accual time for the day, not whole task in all days.

Dear @Alex_Christensen
do you think that this kind of feature is possible to add for the option for custom field?

Hello @Maciej_Drobina -I understand what you are looking for now. Thank you for the clarification. I will absolutely get this submitted as a feature request to our product team!

Nice!

@Alex_Christensen, Also, should this be moved to English Forum > Product Feedback (perhaps with adjustment to the title if helpful)?

Thanks,

Larry

@Maciej_Drobina you can do that with the Screenful add-on. You can create a bar chart that shows hours logged to the actual time field per each day:

When you click a bar, you’ll get a list of tasks with hours logged and who logged them:

The list shows the number of hours logged for each task on that specific day. You can learn more from this guide.

Hi @SamiLinnanvuo, thank you for your tip. Anyway at first sight it looks like cannon arranged to kill a fly.
