Subtasks should exist on timeline

I recently reached out to Asana customer support about subtasks not showing up on the timeline view as children of their parent tasks. This functionality apparently did exist at one point, as mentioned in this article.

Why was this feature removed? Our organization uses subtasks extensively, and it would be very helpful to be able to see subtasks listed on the timeline as children of their parent tasks.

I know that I can get subtasks to show up if I assign them to a project, but then my project task list view is all cluttered with subtasks. I can’t be the only one confused by this?

This is a new feature that is being rolled out and should be available to you. It has not meen removed. Could you share a screenshot of where you’d expect to see the subtasks?
