I’m a big fan of asana. We use it for a tremendous amount of tasks, enjoying the many features of Rules and Custom Fields and Reporting.
However, i’m sure you’ve heard this many times… Subtasks and Sections are not 100% functional when it comes to Rules, Custom Fields and Reporting. This is really making me consider moving the operation to another tool. All my Sub-projects are sorted using Sections, and all my change requests are using Subtasks. I can’t get anything reported properly at all.
This issue should be #1 priority to fix

I do not have an opinion on your question regard sub-tasks and sections but I do agree that most companies are focussing to much on integrating AI tools in their software and forgetting basic functionality updates.

I would encourage you to take a more constructive tone. In my opinion Asana is doing a very good job in balancing listening to users and steering their own course. This is why I’ve slightly edited your post.
If they’d blindly implement all user suggestions just because the suggestions are popular I think they’d soon become indistinguishable from any other tool.
As there are already more specific requests on this forum to change the way subtasks and sections work (like this one: Allow to automatically add subtasks to project) I would encourage you to add your vote there.
What would be even better is if you’d add more context as to why you think it should improve. This helps Asana make informed decisions.
