🧓 Still grandfathered on a legacy plan? You're missing out!

In case you missed it, back in Nov 2023, Asana announced changes to their product tiers, introducing what are now known as the ‘existing’ plans. These will eventually replace the ‘legacy’ plans, likely sometime this year.

:older_adult: Legacy plans :baby: Existing plans
Premium Starter
Business Advanced
(previously unavailable) Enterprise (existing)
Enterprise (legacy) Enterprise+

It is currently unknown when a ‘forced’ switch over to an existing plan will take place, perhaps likely upon your renewal date during 2025 (or 2026?). However, Asana has lately been releasing several product features that are NOT available on the legacy plans - so why wait longer to switch over to a (new) existing plan?

Below is a growing list of features that are NOT available on the legacy plans that you might be missing out on:

** AI Studio is available on Advanced plans on an annual payment cycle only.
*** VOLs are available to Organizations, not Divisions, on an Enterprise plan.

:exclamation: This table is compiled based on information in the relevant Help Centre articles and official announcement posts in the Asana Forum. However, please let me know if there are any inaccuracies!

To switch over to a (new) existing plan, contact your Asana Sales rep or feel free to book a complimentary call with me to give you a demo of the features you might be missing out on.

Haven’t switched yet because of the low automation per month limits. With our org of 50, we’d be out of automations in a couple of days =(

We are a nonprofit and don’t have the budget to go above Starter.

This is fantastic! Thank you for laying this out so nicely.

You’re most welcome, @Sherrill_Olivas
I’ll be updating this list, as I am sure more features will be released exclusively to the (new) existing tiers!

Hi @Joy_Strube , I appreciate your concern, however these limits are still ‘soft’, and it is currently unclear from Asana what the ‘repercussions’ will actually be once the rule limits are exceeded. But most likely it will NOT involve pausing any rules.

You can stay on your current Premium plan until you will likely, eventually, be forced onto the Starter plan. That date is also currently unclear from Asana.
