Sorting and filtering in a public timeline

Hi all,

Is there any news on the functionality to be able to share a public link with collaborators which reflects the state of the project it was shared from? I have my project set up the way I need my collaborators to see it, and then when I share the public link all sorting logic seems to disappear? I also can’t share additional custom tabs. This is a real problem working in teams where read-only access is essential - I need to be able to either a) share a view that shows people what they need, or b) share one which allows them to impose their own filters and sorts.

I can’t use a ‘save view for everyone’ option, because the larger project is a ‘working’ project, with views which aren’t relevant for each team.

Hi @Martha_B , the public links are intended for non-Asana users.

It sounds like your ‘collaborators’ are Asana users so in that case, I would recommend you try using the Share button instead and invite them to the project as ‘Members’ but as a ‘Viewer’ permission level.

Just note that they will be able to see all fields and comments in tasks!

Hi Richard,

No , they don’t use Asana - is there an option here?

Thanks,

Martha

Oh ok. If you are on Enterprise tier, you could ask you Asana Account Manager to enable View only licenses for anyone that has an email in your domain but do not want them to interact with work in Asana.

Thanks Richard – we are on starter sadly.
