Please expand the functionality around Public Links so we can share projects with external stakeholders (clients) without exposing sensitive, internal information.
In ClickUp, you can choose which properties of a task you want external users to see when accessing the Public Link, including:
If we had this capability in Asana, a client could access the project without needing to log in and see only the Task properties we want them to.
Our current workaround is to share projects with clients by exporting them into Google Sheets, removing sensitive columns, then creating a Public Link in Google Drive. This creates two separate versions of the project that our PMs need to keep up to date.
+1 on this feature! It would be very helpful to have this ability. I understand that there is a need to have a boundary with licensed users - but, would be great to share more information with clients, especially project names and custom fields.
+1. I assumed that this would have been a feature of public sharing until trying it. Public sharing has no use for my organization without the ability to customize. I’m a product owner trying to share custom views with leadership who don’t use Asana (and don’t need to) but need a sleek way to view the roadmap. Looks like we will be sticking to Word and Excel for now to showcase.
@Joe6@Mike_OConnor if an add-on is an option, I suggest taking a look at Analytics & Reports by Screenful . You can use it to create custom charts with your Asana data and compile them into Reports . The reports can then be shared with anyone in your organization via email or Slack as a PDF on a custom schedule. Here’s what it looks like:
You can configure everything once, and your manager will start receiving weekly project status reports automatically generated with the most up-to-date data.
