I am unable to link Slack Private Channels to Projects in Asana. We have private channels for our sensitive client data which we don’t want other ‘public’ members seeing. I’m sure it’s the same for other people too.
Is this feature not allowed or will it be implemented in the future?
Is this question addressed anywhere else on this forum? I would also like to know if there is a solution to link projects in a private thread as well.

This is not obvious at all, but our Asana onboarding rep just helped me out with this. You’ll need to approve the app per-channel from within Slack. Once I did this, it worked the next time I tried to add it.
In the Slack Channel > under (i) Details > Add Apps, there should be an option to add the Asana app.
