I would suggest to highlight milestones (deadlines) in timeline view to have a quick view of project progress. A fast way: allow to select within a specific task the option “Make it Milestone” and highlight with a correct UI design this specification.
Milestones are now launched to 100% of our users, so I’ve gone ahead and closed this #productfeedback thread!
It would be great to have milestones/flags in timeline to show major events (launches, deadlines, etc)
yes we definitely need to have milestones, they make the timeline more meaningful
Great news @Woody & @Sabrina_Jayabal,
We recently released milestones, which is available for all premium customers. Feel free to read more via our product launch post.

Hope this helps!

So helpful to keep people on track and be aware of upcoming important deadlines. Thanks!
Our organization frequently provides executive-level views of a project, and with the number of tasks we typically have in Asana it quickly becomes overwhelming. We used to implement a special “Milestones” tag so we could extract that information out of Asana and present it via other tools.
Now that milestones are implemented natively within Asana, it would be really useful if we could filter what shows up on the Asana timeline to only include milestones. That would allow us to quickly provide a high-level view of a project while reducing the noise or distractions that may be caused by including info on all the other tasks.
Any chance we might see filtering options enhanced to show ONLY milestones in Timeline view at some point?
