Would like to see the ability to

  1. copy/duplicate sections and
  2. add a due date to sections which would then apply to all tasks under the section.

And I want to be able to send one section from a template to a new/existing project (rather than copying over the entire project template)

Thanks for posting within the forum. I have a couple questions to better understand what you are requesting and the value you see it would bring.

Would the primary intent of this be to expedite the creation of a section within a separate project or are you looking to copy/duplicate the tasks within a section in bulk?

Are you suggesting that each of the tasks within a section would have the same due date? Are you able to provide an example scenario where you would expect to see this behavior?

One way that you can achieve this is by having a separate project template where only the specific section you often look to copy is represented. This section (group of tasks) could be multi-homed from the original template so when changes are made there, they are reflected in the “section-only” project template. Whenever you need to copy just this portion, you could do so with ease.

In regards to your request to add a due date to sections which would then apply to all tasks under the section, this is currently not possible but as a workaround, you can multi-select the tasks under the sections and a due date to all at once.
