Rules are not applied when updating status of a task shared across projects.

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. create 2 projects (project1, project2)
  2. create rules in both projects to change status when moved to a section.
  3. create rules in both projects to move to a section when status is changed.
  4. create a task and add both projects. (Now task can be seen in both projects)
  5. Move task to a section in project1 mentioned in above rule.

Actual

  • status of task is changed in project1
  • status of task is changed in project2
    - However according to rule task is not moved to a section on status change in project2`

Expected:

  • status of task is changed in project1
  • status of task is changed in project2
    - According to rule task is moved to a section on status change in project2`

This is actually not a bug but is the designed behavior of Asana at present: rules cannot trigger other rules.
