I’m running a company-wide “New Year Cleaning” of our company Asana account.
We will spend one hour in a mix of breakout rooms and with Asana ‘masters’ helping check off outdated tasks, respond to folks who have a question, clear inboxes, and more.
I’m looking for a tool or functionality that can support reporting for the event. For example:
Who checks off the most tasks during the hour session
Who responds to most comments during the hour session
Who takes any other actions the most (re-dates, changes description, adds to a project)
Which projects have the most checked-off tasks
Who has the most late tasks before + after the session
Any other ideas that come to mind.
Any support on how I can please set this up? Any other tips for the session overall?
I would use Universal Reporting to create one or more dashboards with a chart for each datapoint to be captured. You can, through trial and error, develop each, one-by-one, saving the charts that work to assemble the complete dashboard.
You might need to use Advance Search for ones that might not be able to be captured that way but that advanced search with the + Add filter button menu could handle. For each, you can star the search results, after sorting, which enables you to name the search and have it appear in your sidebar. You can share those links with others too.
Just beware that there might be some incentives to win that might not have business value!
Thanks @Ipb - will that work if there are private tasks that I cannot see? I think Tasks Completed, for example, are limited to public tasks if I’m not mistaken?
Each person who views a dashboard or search results will see only the data they have access to.
But that doesn’t mean tasks have to be public, for example if you have access to a project then you’ll see all the tasks in that project regardless of whether they’re public.
OK… the only issue then is this solution does not allow me to create a Master dashboard for the session, which would view all the tasks completed across the company within the hour-long window.
Got it… I work at a tech company and if simple enough, we could have an engineer spend an hour or two on it if we temporarily upgrade. But understand if even then you think not possible.
Those aren’t really viable options, I’m afraid, which you can read about in the Asana help and in the developer docs.
Maybe what I recommended could work with person running the dashboard and searches under their own logins at the end of the hour and jointly determining leaders.
