What you are referring to on why it kind of seems to be showing daily is since you set the general task duration from 12.7.2022 to 2.2.2023 so the whole task duration is reflected here.

With how you set it up now it means the task is always repeating on Thursday‘s.

If you change that date on the top to just a due date and no start date, so for example due date: 8.12.2022 and keep the recurring setting that you put and when you close the task then a new one will be created due on the 15.12.2022

I question came up today, I didn’t know how to answer. We created a weekly recurring task, but couldn’t see all of the tasks in the calendar only the next week. Is there a way to view all of the recurring task as you would if you created a recurring calendar event. Also how do you make sub-task appear in the calendar? Thanks Phil.

Better handle recurring tasks in Timeline view

Hi, When I complete a recurring task, it would be great if the next iteration of that task populated in the same timeline row as the previous one. Most commonly, recurring tasks are used for standard work or meetings (often one day to one week in length) which fit very cleanly into the same row. It’s rare that recurring tasks have dependencies or time overlaps (the same-row rule could be excepted in this corner case) so this arrangement tweak would help much more than hurt. Please let me know…
