Recurring tasks with blank custom fields value

@Jon7 This feedback Enable Recurring Tasks to Trigger Rules - when implemented - would also solve this issue as it would enable you to create a rule to do it.

I would love to complete a recurring task and get a blank field to start filling out again.

I’m still hoping for native functionality to trigger rules with recurring tasks to solve both of these topics.

Wow, 6 years later and still no way to clear fields when a task reoccurs. Please add this feature.

Are there any updates on this request? I have several projects that have recurring tasks and having to manually clear those custom fields is such a pain. It would be awesome if the “When task is added” trigger would work on recurring tasks, it would solve a lot of issues!
