This would be valuable for our team too – specifically related to recurring meetings. We use the subtasks related to specific meetings, so they don’t need to be copied over for each instance of a meeting. Does anyone know a workaround using rules to achieve this?
I am onboard with this request as well. In my case, we have a yearly task of posting our senior profiles on social media. Each year it’s a different set of seniors. The subtasks relate to that year’s seniors and do not repeat after the year they are created but the main task to post the senior socials DOES need to repeat as do the collateral creation subtasks but not ALL the subtasks should repeat. So we need a way to select whether or not the subtasks repeat with the parent task.

I am also noting this request would be extremely helpful for our workflow. We have several recurring tasks where this feature is a pain point.
One example is a recurring task to pull reports to double check some work. If I find problems during my double check, I subtask the person who worked on it to fix them. There aren’t problems every month or they might not be the same problems, so having the subtasks regenerate is causing confusion.
