Public Projects in Free Trial

I cannot figure out how to make my project public to my members. I am using the free trial version. When I select the Share button, it says “Copy Share Link” in place of where I am told it should say “Make Project Public.” Is this feature available in the free version?

Hi @John_Walkup and welcome to the forum!

I’m not sure where you’re seeing the reference to “Make Project Public” but that button is not how one makes a project public.

Here is the help info on making a project public:

Please feel free to follow up if you have any further questions on that info.

I went to that page, and about a fourth of the way down it says

“How to make a private project public: Click the Make public to [Team Name] in the bottom right corner of the Share screen.”

They even show a screen capture of the Share screen that looks like mine, but mien does’t have “Make public to…” in the bottom right corner.

Could it be that @John_Walkup is working within a Workspace instead of an Organization where Team options aren’t available?

Perhaps review this section of the guide: Workspace basics | Product guide • Asana Product Guide

What would be the easiest way for me to tell if I’m working in a Workspace?

It should show under the account tab within your profile settings

It says standardsco.como next to Organizations and nothing next to Workspaces.

When I click on my bio pic and select More…, it provides the option “Remove me from this workspace.”

Okay, I think I figured it out. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
