It says: Ineligible: Bundle will exceed project limits
And when we hover over it it says: Adjust the number of task templates in this project then reapply.
We were not able to find any project limits for bundles and are not sure what we should do. The only limit we found was 50 task templates, but we did not exceed that.
Do the projects that you are applying your Bundles, already include other Task templates, either local to the project or part of another Bundle added to that project? If so, the cumulative total is likely exceeding 50 task templates.
You may also want to refer to point 13 in this post:
The projects were having max 45 task templates and majority had 38. We deleted many so all have 20 task templates now.
It seams that the bundle is working, but still the note makes us wonder if there is a mistake that we will discover later on and then it will be too late
We just want to avoid any possible issues and prefer to be on the safe side.
Hi @Miriam_Guttmanova , so you’re saying that you still see that note, even when the projects consist of only 20 task templates? That’s strange, indeed! I’m stumped - perhaps others can weigh in…?
Hello @Richard_Sather, I was checking it once again and it seems that it is showing for those projects where there is 38 or 45 template tasks. Which is weird since we are still not reaching the limit. Luckily everything works, but it is just weird.
Besides the already mentioned limits for Templates and Rules, there is also a limit of Bundles per project.
Bundles: You can add up to 5 bundles per project. Task Templates: Each project is limited to 50 task templates. Rules: You can add up to 50 rules per bundle, given there are no other rules (outside the bundle) that exist within the project.
If none of the three specified limits (bundles per project, task templates per project, and rules per bundle/project) have been reached, and you are still encountering the “Ineligible: Bundle will exceed project limits” error, it might be due to another configuration or limitation.
In this case, you can:
Review Other Potential Constraints: There might be other constraints or settings that could be affecting this. For example, check if there are nested rules or dependencies that might not be immediately apparent.
