and then in the search results, click the Projects tab, then sort by Date, then you can save the search for future use.
(The search fields’ titles relate to Tasks but their meanings are reinterpreted properly to apply to Projects. In this case, “Incomplete” is the Project Status. Another common one is Assigned to means “Owner” for Projects.)
Thanks @lpb - is there any ways to customise the search results so custom fields show also (I know I can filter by custom fields but want to see more details from that screen…
Unlike for tasks where you can Add filter > Custom field > Choose a field and specify “With any value” to create a column in the search results, projects don’t permit that.
But the projects search results do have a column “Teams and Portfolios” automatically, so you’re two clicks away from seeing the project in the context of the portfolio where the project’s custom fields and values are shown.
Hi @Becky_Manson , alternatively to @lpb 's suggestion, if you are on the Business Plan, you can add your projects to a Portfolio and then enable the preset ‘Time remaining’ field (along with the ‘Date’ and ‘Duration’ fields if you want) under the Customize menu within the portfolio. You can also then sort by these fields and save layout as default so that they always load up sorted by time remaining or due date.
Note, that obviously each project will need to have a start & end date set for the ‘Time remaining’ field to provide values. Also, the Timeline tab within the portfolio is a great visual aid too
Thanks - We have made a bit of a work around using the # boxes on the reporting dashboard and just have a row shows number of projects that are due in the next 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks and month… clunky but it works…
