My workforce will print our daily tasks, today the print format has changed. This new format doesnt work well at all for my team. Has anyone else noticed this?
IS this a glitch or a bug? (hopefully not a change, we have been printing asana tasks for 7 years now this way)
Its essentially the format of the information that’s printed on a task. As of yesterday its more similar to just hitting control+p and printing a browser window. Before yesterday its was more organized and would only print custom fields that contained info.
I am aware of a minor update happening to the cusom fields, you can now click to “hide custom fields” or to “show more fields”
I have screen shots of what its doing now compared to how it used to print
You are right. I just tried it. If the custom fields are hidden, they wont show in your print, if you press show all custom fields, then they will all appear in your print.
I am not sure when this was the case, as I have not needed to print tasks before.
I am having this same issue. I do NOT need all that info at the top to print that big and can not figure out how to change it back. This just started yesterday. I am guessing they had an update.
Hi folks, I got confirmation that is isn’t a bug but an update that launched a couple of days ago to address some backend issue and align with other print views such as project status updates. I’ve gone ahead and shared your feedback directly to the team working on this feature in hope they can address your concerns. I’ll keep you posted here when I have an update on this topic!
This also negatively affects our workflows. We print the document for daily task assignments which are discussed at our morning meetings. We need to be able to see tasks (e.g., AM schedule), subtasks (e.g., Team 1, Team 2) and a second layer of subtasks (e.g., Team 1 Task A, B,C – Team 2, Task A, B, C).
This is a major disruption to the way we use Asana at our organization and I don’t believe I have received any notice about the change.
Thanks, Larry. Asana2go offers some help and I truly appreciate it.
It’s still not perfect for us, as it would be really helpful to be able to print both the parent task information as well as multiple layers of subtask information. As far as I can tell, I am only able to print either the parent task and a single layer of subtasks or highlight each subtask in order to print each subtask and their respective second layer subtasks. This is still much better than what Asana’s most recent change allows, but it was already working perfectly before the update.
That’s exactly correct! Asana2Go lets you print one or an arbitrary selection of tasks (or subtasks) and will show any and all of their subtasks, but just that first level of subtasks.
I am just adding my complaint about this as well. The print format that has been the same for over 7 years was one of the best parts of ASANA and how we used it. I would love for that to be returned to how it was previously done. Or at least an option to print it that way again.
