My organization uses the Conversation feature to introduce basic info about a project. Crew can comment on it, and the post can be changed if the project scope changes, and it’s more readily viewable than having this info in the information section. It would be helpful to pin this first post to the top of the conversation. Is that possible? Thanks.
We also use this feature because everyone is notified if changes are made.
Hi @Claire_Tompkins, welcome to the Asana Community Forum!
If a conversation or task has important comments you want everyone to see, you can pin these comments to the top of the activity feed in the right pane.
Pinned comments are also indicated by a yellow marker
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Emily,
Thanks. I was hoping the initial conversation itself could be pinned. We use conversations to update the project status as it goes along, but the first conversation is the one with the basic details to be referred back to. For that reason, it would be helpful to have the conversation itself, not the comments, pinned to the top. In fact, we discourage comments on this initial post.
We’ve used the conversation section for this because when the project changes the conversation post is edited and everyone is informed automatically there was a change. If there’s another way to do this, in a place that’s as easily accessible as conversations, let me know.
Thanks!
Thanks for getting back to me @Claire_Tompkins! As it stands, it’s currently not possible to pin the entire Conversation. You can upvote for this feature here: Project conversation Pinning. Thanks for your feedback!
